Manarion Codex Chart: Cost and Bonus for Every Level

Verified against the live game on October 23, 2026.

Codex is Manarion’s currency for permanent character upgrades. This chart shows what every Codex boost level costs, what it gives you and how much it takes to max a boost, so you can plan your spending before you click. For what each boost is for and how to choose between them, see the Codex section of our Complete Manarion Guide.

How Codex costs work

  • Every level costs its own number. Level 1 costs 1 Codex, level 2 costs 2, level 50 costs 50. The total for a boost at level L is L x (L + 1) / 2.
  • Nine boosts cap at level 100. Maxing one costs 5,050 Codex in total, and maxing all nine costs 45,450.
  • Actions is the exception. It has no cap, and every level costs a flat 1 Codex for +5 maximum actions.
  • Bound Codex counts the same. Quests pay Bound Codex until you have invested 10,000 Codex in your own research, and it buys boosts exactly like normal Codex.

The ten Codex boosts

Codex boost What it boosts Bonus per level Level cap Codex to max
Base Experience Experience from every action +1% 100 5,050
Base Resource Resources per gathering action +1% 100 5,050
Base Mana Dust Mana Dust from enemies +1% 100 5,050
Drop Boost Chance at nearly every drop +1% 100 5,050
Multistat Stat drops and mastery gains +1% 100 5,050
Construction Mage Tower build speed Not shown separately in game 100 5,050
Jewelcrafting Jewelcrafting skill (each skill point adds +0.01% chance to upgrade gems) Not shown separately in game 100 5,050
Expedition Rarity Rarity of pet expedition rewards +1% 100 5,050
Wayfinder Starcharting rate and Gathering Node chance +1% 100 5,050
Actions Maximum actions +5 actions None 1 Codex per level

The bonus shown is what the Codex boost itself gives. For Construction and Jewelcrafting the game only shows your total from every source, so the Codex share cannot be read off on its own. Your total in game is usually higher than the Codex bonus, because guild buildings, the Mage Tower, pets, jewels and constellation stars add to the same stats.

Cost and bonus by level

This applies to all nine capped boosts. The last column shows how the price of each 1% climbs as you go: the first 10% costs 55 Codex, the last 10% (levels 91 to 100) costs 955.

Codex from level A to level B: (B x (B + 1) – A x (A + 1)) / 2. For example, going from level 40 to 60 costs (3,660 – 1,640) / 2 = 1,010 Codex.

Expedition Rarity at 100%

Expedition Rarity is the one Codex boost whose effect the game spells out in its patch notes. At 100% it shifts the odds of the six expedition reward tiers:

Reward tier At 0% At 100%
1 (lowest) 60% 20%
2 25% 50%
3 10% 20%
4 3.5% 7%
5 1.2% 2.4%
6 (highest) 0.3% 0.6%

Resetting Codex boosts

You can reset your Codex boosts from the Codex panel. The reset cost is based on what you have invested in the boosts other than Actions, so a reset gets more expensive the further you go. Plan before you spend.
