Reputation Buffs:

  • Legion Timewalking Week: 50% rep buff (Sign of the Legion)
  • Best time to push Exalted and farm paragon caches

Paragon Farming:

  • Expect 1-2 paragon caches per week per faction with dedicated farming
  • Low drop rates (3-5% estimated) mean months for all mounts
  • Use multiple alts to speed up the process

Tips & Common Mistakes

Essential Tips

Complete Broken Shore on one character – “Breaching the Tomb” is account-wide
Farm raids on multiple difficulties – 3-4 attempts per week per boss
Use LFR for extra attempts – Queue with Archmage Timear
Legion Timewalking = 50% rep buff – Best time for paragon grinding
Nightbane has a 20% drop rate – Much better than 1% raid mounts, farm weekly
Fel-Spotted Eggs take 5 days – Plan accordingly, one per character at a time
Check Mad Merchant spawns – 2M gold spider mount (rare spawn)
Save order resources – Needed for class mount color variants

Common Mistakes

Confusing Karazhan versions – Return to Karazhan = upper entrance, NOT BC raid
Trying Nightbane on wrong difficulty – Must be Mythic, not Heroic
Forgetting LFR attempts – Extra chances for Abyss Worm and Antoran Charhound
Selling Orbs/Elementium – Not relevant to Legion (different expansion)
Ignoring class mount variants – Purchase additional colors after unlock
Not using skip quests – Waste time running full raids repeatedly

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Legion mounts are there in total?

73 Legion mounts are available in 2025. This excludes the Violet Spellwing, which was removed when Battle for Azeroth launched.

Can I solo all Legion raids in 2025?

Yes! All Legion raids are easily soloable at level 80 on all difficulties, including Mythic. Most bosses die in seconds.

Do class order hall mounts work on other classes?

No – class mounts are class-restricted. However, you can earn them on multiple characters of the same class and unlock all color variants.

What’s the easiest Legion mount to get?

The Felsaber from creating a Demon Hunter. The starting experience takes 15-30 minutes to complete.

What’s the rarest Legion mount?

The Violet Spellwing – no longer obtainable. For currently available mounts, the Shackled Ur’zul (Mythic Argus 1% drop) or any of the Argus paragon cache mounts (RNG-heavy).

How long does it take to get a class order hall mount?

4-6 hours per class to complete the Order Hall campaign and Broken Shore. The “Breaching the Tomb” achievement only needs to be completed once per account.

Can I farm Nightbane weekly?

Yes – Return to Karazhan has a weekly lockout. You can attempt Nightbane once per week per character on Mythic difficulty.

Are Paragon cache mounts account-wide?

Yes – once you loot a mount from any paragon cache, it’s unlocked account-wide.

Do I need flying for Legion mount farming?

Flying helps significantly (Broken Isles Pathfinder achievement). Most content is accessible without it, but rare spawn hunting and world quests are much faster with flying.

What’s the drop rate for Nightbane’s mount?

20% confirmed by Blizzard – significantly better than most raid mount drops (1%).

Can I still get class mounts if I didn’t play Legion?

Yes! All class mount questlines are still available. Complete your Order Hall campaign and Broken Shore to unlock them.

Final Thoughts

Legion introduced some of World of Warcraft’s most iconic and class-defining mounts. From the spectacular class order hall campaigns that gave each spec unique rides, to the challenging Nightbane encounter with its 20% mount drop, Legion offers exceptional variety for collectors.

The 73 available mounts range from quick unlocks (Felsaber in 30 minutes) to months-long grinds (paragon cache RNG), giving you plenty of goals whether you have 30 minutes or 30 hours per week.

Mount Collecting Priority (2025):

  1. Class order hall mounts – Start campaigns on all classes you play
  2. Nightbane farming – 20% drop rate makes this high-value weekly content
  3. Raid mount weekly clears – 14 attempts per week per character
  4. Reputation grinding during Timewalking – 50% buff makes paragon caches faster
  5. Argus rare spawns – High drop rates, easy farms
  6. Secret mounts – One-time unlocks when you have time

Most importantly, Legion content is incredibly solo-friendly in 2025. Everything from Mythic raids to hidden secrets can be completed at your own pace without group coordination.

Happy collecting, and may RNG favor your mount drops! 🐴
